Originally coined by Esther Hicks, this practice is something you can weave into your daily personal practice and your client sessions.
A Gratitude Rampage is essentially going on a rampage of expressing gratitude for anything and everything you’re thankful for.
We recognize that the word rampage might not feel aligned for everyone, so we also offer you to choose your own name-of-the-game, like Gratitude Celebration or Game of Appreciation.
The beauty of this practice is that you can do it anywhere and at any time, internally or externally, to create a powerful shift in your energy. When you lean into, amplify and relish in gratitude, not only does it change your point of attraction and resonance, but you become a magnet for more abundance and goodness to be grateful for!
In NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), which we teach inside our signature programs here at Coaching Evolved, we dive into the science behind this phenomenon and the magic of the Reticular Activating System (RAS), which is a bundle of nerves at our brainstem that filters out unnecessary information so the stuff we deem most important is what gets through.
For instance, when you learn a new word, the RAS is the reason you start hearing it everywhere. And the same goes for gratitude.
The more you do practices like Gratitude Rampage, the more you train your brain to be on the lookout for similar experiences, thus attracting more of what you desire to experience into your life and business. And you’re able to move in less resistance towards those desires.

Here are 4 easy steps to follow for this practice so you can raise your energy, generate positive momentum and become a magnet for your desires by vibrating at a frequency of gratitude today. Let’s go!
Step 1: Awareness
Begin by bringing your awareness to your immediate environment, including yourself. Notice something that pleases you or that you’re grateful for such as: “I’m so thankful for my eyesight,” or “I’m so grateful for my favourite houseplant,” or “I’m so thankful to have this sweater that makes me feel cozy and warm.” Continue this pattern in a stream-of-consciousness manner.
If you can’t think of anything, tune into the clean water coming out of your faucet or the food in your fridge or the device on which you’re reading these words. Remember, nothing is too small to be grateful for.
Step 2: Breathe and Feel
As you continue to declare things you’re grateful for, really tune into the sensations that flood your body and use your breath to simmer in and expand into the goodness they bring you. This helps amplify the gratitude you’re already brewing and strengthens your vibrational frequency.
Feel free to also include qualities of yourself, your personality and people in your life, too.
Step 3: Ignite Your Future Self
Once your energy feels aligned and overflowing with gratitude, then begin to welcome in the desires and qualities of your Future Self on that frequency of appreciation. Keep it all in present tense! For example, “I’m so grateful I’m making X amount of money a month in my business,” or “I’m so thankful for my soulmate partnership,” or “I’m so thankful for my trip to Costa Rica next month.”
Again, really drop into the sensations these feelings generate in your body and amplify them with your breath.
Step 4: Amplify Your Blessings with Somatic Movement
Once your energy feels aligned and robust with appreciation, then begin to activate your somatic expression, either through free-movement, shaking, dancing, stretching or a self-hug.
This allows your words, visions and gratitude for your blessings to ground into all 5 layers of your Being—mentally, physically, emotionally, energetically and spiritually—leading to lasting transformation.
Repeat as desired.
The more you practice Gratitude Rampage, the more you train your brain and body to be on the lookout for more blessings to be grateful for. Plus, you’re able to ride the wave of that positive energetic momentum all the while decreasing resistance to your desires so they can flow with more ease into your life and business.
